Statesville boasts four residential historic districts listed on the National Register for Historic Places and nearly 50 buildings, which comprise the Downtown Commercial District. “Images at the Crossroads” is a stunning 21 by 19-foot tall Ben Long fresco that adorns a specially designated wall inside the Statesville Civic Center. Visitors are encouraged to partake in walking tours to view the rich architectural styles of the various historic districts.
