Meg S. Wood
Biographical Information
Meg S. Wood is a native of Queens, New York, but relocated to Asheville, North Carolina while in High School. She graduated Asheville Country Day School (now Carolina Day School) and received a BA from UNC-Chapel Hill in Theatre, specializing in acting, playwriting and dance.
After pursuing an acting career in London and New York, she returned to North Carolina and received her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. Her practice began in New York City, where she specialized in medical and other professional malpractice, personal injury, governmental liability and constitutional rights, on the defense bar. Since returning to North Carolina in 2000, she has practiced primarily in plaintiffs’ personal injury and civil trial work, with some consultation in business contractual matters. She joined Ted A. Greve & Associates in 2005, where she practiced into 2006, and after a hiatus, returned to the firm in January 2009, where she will practice personal injury and workers’ compensation law.
On the side, she has worked with artists and artistic and theatrical groups preparing and consulting on contracts and fundraising. She is active in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg Theatre scene as a writer and performer. She also teaches in the Paralegal Program for the Duke University School of Continuing Education.
